According to Onasa, Bosnia and Herzegovina Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mladen
Ivanic stated on Thursday that Bosnia and Herzegovina expects there to be a
decision about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s negotiations on the Stabilization and
Association Agreement with the European Union in May.
Speaking before the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, he emphasised that Bosnia
and Herzegovina recently has made progress in reform implementation. Ivanic
stated that for the past two years, 54 laws have been amended and accorded with
the European ones, stressing that that he hopes European Union Commission will
give the green light next month for the start of negotiations on the Agreement
on Association and Stabilisation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, Ivanic stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina is in favour of good neighbourly
relations, and that it supports the start of talks between the EU and Croatia.
He also had positive words regarding the Feasibility Study for Serbia and Montenegro,
adding that Serbia and Montenegro made a good presentation, as well as Macedonia,
whose progressed was even more significant.
When it comes to co-operation with The Hague Tribunal, Ivanic stressed that
the Bosnia and Herzegovina public is aware of its importance, not because international
community requests so, but for the future of the country.
